Order This writ petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to cancel the patta erroneously standing in the names of Guruvaya and Chandrayya in respect of the land comprised in Old Survey No.9/4 (Part),Corresponding to New Survey No.9/24, admeasuring extents 327 square metres (3519 sq.ft) situated at No.1/137A, Perumal Koil Street, Manthippai, Perathur Village, Tiruvallur and to issue patta in name of the petitioner as the aforesaid property belongs to the petitioner's family.

2.Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner made a representation dated 10.06.2026 seeking to cancel the patta erroneously standing in the names of Guruvaya and Chandrayya in respect of the Grama Natham land comprised in Old Survey No.9/4 (Part),Corresponding to New Survey No.9/24, admeasuring extents 327 square metres (3519 sq.ft) situated at Page2 of 6 No.1/137A, Perumal Koil Street, Manthippai, Perathur Village, Tiruvallur, as the aforesaid property belongs to the petitioner's family. However, the said representation was not considered by the official respondents. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

3.Mr.B.Karthikeyan, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 10.06.2026 will be considered and disposed of within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

4.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3.

5.Considering the submission made by both parties and in view of the limited prayer sought for in this writ petition, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the 3rd respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 10.06.2026, on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing prior notice to petitioner, respondents 4 & 5 and other parties concerned, if any, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
