ORDER The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd and 3rd respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.06.2026.

¶2The case of the petitioner is that he submitted a representation dated

27.06.2026 to the respondents 2 and 3, seeking appropriate steps to change the name in the patta, which had been wrongly issued in favour of the 4th Page2 of 5 respondent, and to issue the same in the name of Muthupadayachi @ MuthaaGoundan, the petitioner's grandfather, in respect of the property comprised in S.No.214/13, measuring an extent of 0.04.50 hectare (0.11 cent), covered under Patta No.920, situated at Manathaal Village, Omalur Taluk, Salem District. However, the said representation has not been considered till date. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has been constrained to file the present Writ Petition.

¶3Mr.M.Sivavarthanan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents submitted that the 3rd respondent, being the competent authority, would consider the petitioner's representation dated

27.06.2026 and pass appropriate orders thereon within a period of six weeks.

¶4Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the 3rd respondent/Tahsildar, Omalur Taluk, to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.06.2026 and pass appropriate orders thereon, on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the petitioner as well as the 4th respondent and affording them an opportunity of personal Page3 of 5 hearing, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
