¶2The petitioner has challenged the notice dated 13.07.2026 issued by the third respondent, calling upon the petitioner to appear for a personal hearing in proceedings initiated under the Tamil Nadu Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 1975.

¶3The petitioner claims to be in occupation of Plot No.94, measuring an extent of 1.00 acre in S.F. No.27/18 (Part), situated at SIDCO Industrial Estate, Elambalur. According to the petitioner, the allotment of the plot was cancelled on the ground of violation of the terms and conditions of allotment. The petitioner contends that the cancellation was made without considering the bona fide reasons put forth by him.

¶4However, the cancellation of the allotment is not the subject matter of the present writ petition. The impugned proceedings are only a notice calling upon the petitioner to participate in the enquiry. At this stage, no ground is made out for interference with the impugned notice.

¶5Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of, reserving liberty to the petitioner to raise all permissible contentions before the third respondent during the enquiry. It is made clear that the petitioner shall not be dispossessed except by following due process of law. Page Nos.4/5

¶6Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
