ORDER The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to correct the name of petitioner's father in the Death certificate Register No.COC/2006/04/052/000100/0 dated 12.9.2006 as A.Munusamy alias A.Murthy and issue fresh corrected death certificate by considering petitioner's representation dated 18.03.2026.

¶2Learned counsel for petitioner would submit that there are no documents/ certificates except Death Certificate of petitioner's mother wherein petitioner's father name is shown as Munnusamy.

¶3Learned counsel for respondents would submit that they would consider and pass orders on petitioner's representation dated 18.03.2026, on merits and in accordance with law after taking into consideration the documents that may be submitted by petitioner. Agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.

¶4Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. The petitioner shall submit the relevant documentary evidence before the respondents within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for receipt of certified copy of the order. If such documents/ certificates are submitted by the petitioner within the stipulated time, the same shall be considered by the respondents and appropriate orders shall be passed on petitioner's representation dated 18.03.2026, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of submission of such documentary evidence by petitioner. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the case on its own merits and in accordance with law.
