ORDER (Order of the Court was made by Sunder Mohan J.) The prayer is for a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.06.2026 for granting sixty days furlough, without escort to her husband - detenue, viz, Anbarasan S/o. Raman, PID No.618, aged 57 years, confined at Central Prison, Cuddalore.

¶2Mr.A.Amarnath, the learned Counsel for Government of Tamil Nadu (Crl.Side), confirms the receipt of the representation dated in

24.06.2026 sent by the petitioner and would further state on instructions that the representation would be considered within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of this order.

¶3Hence, we direct the Director General of Police / Director General of Prisons and Correctional Services, Tamil Nadu, to consider the representation dated 24.06.2026. The second respondent/the Superintendent of Prison, Cuddalore Central Prison, shall forward the representation to the Director General of Police / Director General of Prisons and Correctional Services, Tamil Nadu, forthwith.
