Judgment

ORDER This writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief :- "to direct the respondents to implement the 15th wage settlement dated 29.05.2025 and to revise the salary of the petitioners and to pay the difference amount of salary from

01.09.2023 till the date of retirement and to revise all the retirement benefits of the petitioners based on the revised salary as per 15th wage settlement dated 29.05.2025 and to pay the amount to the petitioners along with 12% interest per annum from the date of retirement, within the time frame fixed by this Hon'ble Court."

¶2Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record. With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

¶3It is the case of the petitioners that they joined the services of the respondent corporation in different posts and subsequently, retired from service on 31.03.2024 as a Senior Tradesman, 31.05.2025 as an Assistant and 31.05.2025 as a Canteen Cleaner respectively. The 15th Wage Page3 of 5 Settlement was entered into between the Management and the Trade Unions on 29.05.2025, pursuant to which, the wages and pensions were revised with effect from 01.09.2023. Since the petitioners were in service as of 01.09.2023, they are entitled to the revision of their salary and all the retirement benefits and payment of arrears, as per the 15th wage settlement dated 29.05.2025, together with 12% interest per annum. Therefore, the petitioners made several requests/representations before the respondents, seeking implementation of the 15th wage settlement, which evoked no response. Hence, the present petition has been filed claiming the arrears payable on account of the 15th wage settlement, along with interest at the rate of 12% per annum.

¶4In view of the above, this Court directs the respondents to disburse the eligible differential amount of salary and other terminal benefits in favour of the petitioners, in accordance with the 15th Wage Settlement dated 29.05.2025, together with interest at the rate of 6% per annum, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
