15.07.2026 for the alleged offence under Section 3(1) of Tamil Nadu Property (Prevention of Damages and Loss) Act, in Crime No. 266 of 2026 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail. Page2 of 5

¶2The allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner/accused in a drunken condition, allegedly broke the glass door of the IOB ATM room and damaged the ATM display and machine, causing damage to public property. Hence, the case.

¶3The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is in judicial custody since 15.07.2026. He further submitted that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prays for grant of bail to the Petitioner.

¶4Per contra, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the Respondent Police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that the investigation is still pending and if released on bail, there is a possibility of the petitioner repeating similar offences and hampering the investigation. Hence, he opposed the grant of bail to the Petitioner.

¶6Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and taking into consideration of the period of incarceration of the petitioner, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner subject to certain conditions.

¶7Accordingly, the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his executing a bond for a sum of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand only) with two sureties each, for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.IV, Vellore, and on further conditions that: [a] the sureties shall affix their photographs and Left Thumb Impression in the Application for Surety ship [Judicial Form No.46 annexed to 'The Criminal Rules of Practice, 2019'].
