ORDER The petitioner is before this Court seeking a direction to respondents 2 and 3 to asphalt the entire stretch of the 30-foot public road running north to south between Plot Nos. 32 and 33 and Plot No. 46 in the approved layout situated in T.S. No. 28, Sooramangalam Division-I, Ward-A, Block-30, Salem City, on par with the other roads in the locality.

¶2Learned counsel appearing for the respondent has placed on record the proceedings of the Commissioner, Salem City Municipal Corporation, stating that the encroachments on the said road have already been removed and that the work of asphalting the road will be undertaken during the next financial year.

¶3Recording the said undertaking, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to complete the asphalting work on the said road during the financial year 2027–2028. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
