Judgment

ORDER This Civil Revision Petition has been filed to strike off the pleadings against the petitioners as detailed in the prayer in O.S.No.964 of 2021 pending on the file of the I Additional District Judge, Coimbatore.

¶2Even though the petitioners have sought the aforesaid prayer through this Civil Revision Petition filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, the learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioners on instructions would now submit that it would suffice if directions were to be issued to the trial Court by this Court to dispose of the suit within a fixed time.

¶3Admittedly, the pleadings are complete in the suit and the suit is posted for framing of issues on 28.07.2026. The suit has been filed for specific performance. As seen from the cause title, the petitioners are senior citizens, aged 77 and 62 years respectively.

¶4After giving due consideration to the year of the suit and the age of the petitioners, this Court is of the considered view that no prejudice would be caused to any of the parties if a direction is issued to the trial Court to dispose of the suit within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

¶5Accordingly, this Court directs the I Additional District Court, Coimbatore to dispose of the suit in O.S.No.964 of 2021, after framing the issues and after conducting trial, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

¶6With the above direction, this Civil Revision Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 01-07-2026 vum Index:Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order To The I Additional District Court, Coimbatore.
