Judgment

O R D E R [Order of the Court was made by DR.G.JAYACHANDRAN, J.] Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner at length.

¶2The intention of the petitioner is to stall the examinations for the certificate course in Computer on Office Automation and the Government Technical Examinations scheduled to be held from 07.02.2026 onwards. The last date for the online registration and submission of applications has been fixed as 19.01.2026. Pointing out the in-between holidays, it is contended that the time provided for submitting applications is very short and therefore, the same has to be extended. That apart, it is also contended that the facilitation centres are not adequate for conducting the examinations.

¶3Mr.P.Thilakkumar, learned Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents, submits that the last date for submitting applications has been extended from 19.01.2026 to 23.01.2026 and adequate facilitation centres have been provided in all the districts and therefore, the Directorate of Technical Education has made adequate arrangements for conducting the examinations and accommodating all the applicants.

¶4In view of the above submission of the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, we are of the view that the grievance of the petitioner has been substantially taken care of by the respondents and hence, there is no necessity to entertain this public interest litigation.

¶5Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
