ORDER This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated

10.11.2025 and to issue an order to grant online patta considering Natham Patta No.578, which was given by Kalayar Kovil Thasildar, consisting of 0.00.50 sq.meter, bearing Survey No.252/10 part, New Survey No.386/2 in Sivagangai District, Kalayarkovil Taluk, Vannikkudi Revenue Group, Melamarungur Post.

¶2By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

¶3The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the lawful owner and is in possession of the subject property. Despite the petitioner's representation dated 10.11.2025, the second respondent has failed to consider the request for issuance of patta. Such inaction on the part of the second respondent is arbitrary, unreasonable, and contrary to the settled principles of law. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

¶4The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioner's representation will be considered on merits and appropriate orders will be passed in accordance with law.

¶5Recording the aforesaid submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.11.2025, on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The second respondent is directed to provide reasonable opportunity during such enquiry to the petitioner and any other persons, who may be affected by such decision. Needless to state that in the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to work out their remedies before the Civil Court. There shall be no order as to costs.
