ORDER This Writ Petition is filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 3 and 4 to make necessary survey and measurements on the petitioner's property bearing Survey Nos.1010/1C, 1010/1D and 1010/3B, situated at Palavoor Part -I Village, Radhapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli District and issue Patta and Rough Sketch for the actual measurement as per the sale Deed in pursuance of the petitioner's representation dated 17.11.2025, forthwith.

¶2By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

¶3The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the subject properties are ancestral in nature. The petitioner submitted a representation dated

17.11.2025 requesting survey and fixation of the boundaries of the said properties. Despite the same, the respondents 3 and 4 have failed to take any action, causing undue delay and prejudice to the petitioner. The petitioner, therefore, seeks a direction to the respondents 3 and 4 to conduct the survey and fix the boundaries, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

¶4The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that proper steps would be taken to survey and demarcate the land in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.

¶5Recording the aforesaid submission, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.11.2025 and demarcate the subject properties, after considering the claims of the petitioner and any other rival parties, if any, and to pass orders in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to work out their remedies before the Civil Court.
