¶3The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that an online application has been submitted for the survey of the property in question and for demarcation of its boundaries.

¶4The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first to third respondents would submit that there is a civil dispute with regard to the subject property and that a civil suit is also pending before the competent Civil Court.

¶5In response to the said submission, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is not connected with the said civil dispute and that even in the civil suit, the petitioner is not a party.

¶6This Court is of the view that once an application is made for survey and demarcation of the property and the necessary payment is made, it is the bounden duty of the officials to consider the same and pass appropriate orders. 25.09.2025, survey and demarcate the petitioner's land after considering the claims of all parties and pass orders in accordance with Sections 9 and Page No. 3 of 6 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to work out their remedies before the competent Civil Court. If the issue is in fact involved in the civil suit, the same shall also be taken into consideration while passing any order. It is needless to state that before surveying the land, notice shall be issued to the adjacent landowners and other interested parties, if any and that if required, police assistance may be taken.

¶7With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
