Judgment

ORDER This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 2 and 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.01.2026 for management and administration of Arulmigu Sri Valagurunathaswamy Temple, Sathangudi Village, Tirumangalam Taluk, Madurai District and bring the Temple under the control of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department and appoint Fit Person or Executive Officer for the management of the Temple and also appoint Special Officer for Mahasivarathri festival to be held on 15.02.2026 and other festivals of the Temple.

¶2The learned counsel appearing for the respondents 4 to 6 would submit that the main grievance of the petitioner is that, since the petitioner is the youngest person in the family, the respondents 4 to 6 refused to provide 'viboothi mariyathai' to him. Hence, the petitioner has come up with the present Writ Petition. However, the learned counsel would submit that there is no question of neglecting the petitioner and refusing to give 'viboothi mariyathai' to him. He would assure that the petitioner would be given 'viboothi mariyathai' as per the existing customs and at any cost, no disrespect would be caused to him during the event of 'viboothi mariyathai'.

¶3The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that this Writ Petition may be closed by recording the submissions of the learned counsel for the respondents 4 to 6.

¶4Accordingly, the submissions of the learned counsel for the respondents 4 to 6 are recorded. The respondents 4 to 6 are directed to ensure proper respect with 'viboothi mariyathai' is provided to the petitioner during the Mahasivarathri festival on 15.02.2026.

¶5In the result, this Writ Petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
