Judgment

O R D E R This Writ Petition is filed directing the second respondent to transfer the patta in the petitioner's name in respect of property in S.No. 406/3C situated at Kodumbapatti Village, Marungapuri Taluk, Trichy District, by considering the petitioner's online applications dated

21.12.2024 and 26.03.2025.

¶2By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

¶3Since no adverse orders are going to be passed against the third respondent, notice to the third respondent is hereby dispensed with.

¶4The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the property in S.No.406/3C, situated at Kodumbapatti Village, Marungapuri Taluk, Trichy District, is the petitioner's husband's property and the patta also stands in his name. Thereafter, the petitioner's husband executed a registered settlement deed dated 19.09.2024 in favour of the petitioner in respect of the subject property. In order to transfer the patta in her name, the petitioner submitted two online applications dated 21.12.2024 and

26.03.2025 before the second respondent. Despite the submission of the said applications, no effective steps have been initiated by the second respondent to transfer the patta in the petitioner's name. Hence, the present petition is filed.

¶5The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submits that, after conducting an enquiry and recording the objections on either side, the second respondent shall consider the petitioner's online application and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

¶6Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's applications dated 21.12.2024 and 26.03.2025, on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law after providing reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, the third respondent and any other persons, who may be affected by such decision, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. (K.SURENDER, J.)
