Pitchairajan v. The District Collector

ORDER Heard the learned counsel on either side.

¶2This writ petition has been filed for causing removal of the petition mentioned encroachments.

¶3When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader submitted that the concerned authorities are already seized of the matter. A copy of the communication bearing f.vz;:Nfh.5/cngh /epiya+h; gphpT/2022/ehs;:07.02.2022 issued to the Tahsildar, Madurai South has been produced before us. It is stated by the learned Special Government Pleader that the channel in question is three kilometers long and that encroachments covering one kilometer have also been removed. It is further assured that the remaining encroachments will also be removed after following due process of law.

¶4Recording the said submission of the learned Special Government Pleader and directing the respondents to adhere to the aforesaid undertaking, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
