ORDER This Writ Petition is filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to conduct survey and fix the four boundaries of the land in Survey No.1073/2A2, consisting of Plot Nos.65, 66, 67 and 68, totally measuring an extent of 11.024 Cents, situated at Batlagundu, Nilakottai Taluk, Dindigul District, based on the petitioner's online applications dated 31.10.2025 and
04.02.2026, within the time to be stipulated by this Court.
¶2By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
¶3The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the absolute owner of the subject property. The petitioner submitted applications dated 31.10.2025 and 04.02.2026 requesting survey and fixation of the boundaries of the said property. Despite the same, the respondents have failed to take any action, causing undue delay and prejudice to the petitioner. The petitioner, therefore, seeks a direction to the respondents to conduct the survey and fix the boundaries, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
¶4The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that proper steps would be taken to survey and demarcate the land in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.
¶5Recording the aforesaid submission, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's applications dated 31.10.2025 and 04.02.2026 and demarcate the subject property, after considering the claims of the petitioner, and any other rival parties, if any, and to pass orders in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to work out their remedies before the Civil Court.
¶6With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. NCC : Yes / No (K.SURENDER, J.) Index : Yes / No
