Judgment

O R D E R The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Mandamus directing the first respondent to process the transfer application submitted by the petitioner, wherein he seeks transfer of his daughter, who is studying in the second year B.Pharm course in the second respondent College, to Bethlahem College of Pharmaceutical Science, Karungal, Kanyakumari District, on health grounds.

¶2The petitioner's daughter, namely Ms.P.R.Renishma Marshil, is currently pursuing the second year B.Pharm course in the second respondent College. Due to her ill health, the petitioner seeks her transfer to Bethlahem College of Pharmaceutical Science, Karungal, Kanyakumari District. An application in this regard was submitted to the first respondent on 29.11.2024 and another application was submitted in person on 27.01.2026. Since no action has been taken, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

¶3The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the first respondent submitted that unless a "No Objection Certificate" is obtained from the Pharmacy Council of India, no orders permitting transfer of the petitioner's daughter from the second respondent College to Bethlahem College of Pharmaceutical Science, Karungal, Kanyakumari District, can be passed by the first respondent.

¶4In view of the above, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the Pharmacy Council of India seeking a "No Objection Certificate" for transfer of his daughter from the second respondent College to the College situated in Kanyakumari District. Upon such "No Objection Certificate" being granted, the first respondent is directed to process the petitioner's application and pass appropriate orders as expeditiously as possible, within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of the said "No Objection Certificate".

¶5With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
