ORDER This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated

05.01.2026 with regard to cancellation of online Patta No.621 and issue Patta in the name of the petitioner on the basis manual Patta in respect of the property in S.No.436/28, to an extent of 0-01.96 Hectares, situated at Gundur Village, Thiruverumbur Taluk, Trichy District, within the period that may be stipulated by this Court.

¶2By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

¶3Since no adverse orders are going to be passed against the fourth respondent, notice to the fourth respondent is hereby dispensed with.

¶4The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the absolute owner of the subject property and is in peaceful possession and enjoyment thereof. However, Patta No.621 relating to the said property stands in the name of the fourth respondent. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 05.01.2026 to the respondents 1 to 3 seeking to cancel Patta No.621 and to issue Patta in the name of the petitioner. Since no action has been taken on the petitioner's representation, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

¶5The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the petitioner's representation will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

¶6Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.01.2026 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law after providing reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, the fourth respondent and any other persons, who may be affected by such decision, within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. NCC : Yes / No (K.SURENDER, J.) Index : Yes / No
