Balaji @ Ram Jaya Balaji v. The Inspector of Police

ORDER This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking orders to call for the records pertaining to the first information report in crime No.360 of 2021 on the file of the second respondent police and quash the same as illegal as against the petitioner.

¶2When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police would submit that the investigation in Crime No.360 of 2021 has been completed and the final report was filed before the Judicial Magistrate-I, Tirunelveli and the same was taken on file in C.C.No.53 of 2023.

¶3Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed as infructuous. However, the petitioners are at liberty to challenge the charge sheet, if so advised. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
