Judgment

ORDER These Petitions are filed by the writ petitioner to re-open the Contempt Petitions which were closed by this Court by its order dated 22.11.2024.

¶2The petitioners have filed the above Contempt Petitions, that the orders of the Writ Court dated 25.04.2019 have not been complied with.

¶3When dealing with the above Contempt Petitions, a representation has been made by the State that as against the orders of the Writ Court, Writ Appeals have been filed and the same have been dismissed at the SR stage itself and therefore, Special Leave Petitions have been filed before the Honourable Supreme Court with an application to condone delay in I.A.No. 88650 of 2024. Since the Honourable Supreme Court has seized of the matter, this Court by its order dated 22.11.2024 has closed the Contempt Petitions without prejudice to the petitioner to revive the Contempt Petitions on the outcome of the orders of the Honourable Supreme Court.

¶4These Sub Applications are now filed to re-open the Contempt Petitions, that the Special Leave Petitions filed by the State in Diary No.12077 of 2024 was dismissed by the Honourable Supreme Court on 05.12.2025.

¶5The learned counsel for State of TN submits that a Review Petition has been filed by the State and Diary Number has also been provided for the Review Petition.

¶6This Court considered the rival submissions made.

¶7The Contempt Petitions were closed on the representation of the State that they have preferred an SLP as against the orders of the Division Bench. It appears that the Honourable Supreme Court has rejected the SLP by its order dated 05.12.2025. In view of the same, Registry is directed to re-open the Contempt Petitions in Cont.P(MD)Nos.1713 to 1718 of 2023 and list the same. 05-06-2026 mbi To
