ORDER The writ petition had been filed in the nature of mandamus, seeking a direction against the respondents to issue appropriate patta in the name of the petitioner by modifying the Sub Division Rayathwari Punja in S.No. 17/3A1, measuring 0.00.5 ares and in S.No. 17/3A2, measuring 0.00.5 ares at Kurichi Village, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukkottai District and bringing them under one survey number as S.No.17/3A, for a total extent of 0.01.0 ares, by cancelling the sub divisions.

2.In this regard, the first respondent had passed an earlier order on 11.07.2019 in Ne.Mu.No.A4/3817/2016. The order of the first respondent will have to be implemented by the second respondent.

3.Originally, the patta stood in the name of husband of the petitioner herein. Subsequently, the husband of the petitioner died on

06.02.2023 and the petitioner and her daughter are his legal heirs. Therefore, a request was placed by the petitioner, by cancelling the sub divisions, to give one common joint patta in the name of petitioner and daughter.

4.A direction is given to the second respondent/Tahsildar, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukkottai District, to issue a notice to the petitioner herein, examine the orders of the first respondent, comply with the representation given by the petitioner and also the order of the first respondent. The entire exercise should be completed, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed. No costs.
