O R D E R This Writ Petition has been filed for issuing a direction to the respondents to grant permission and protection for cultural event namely Adalpadal scheduled to be held on 19.04.2023 at night from

07.00 p.m. to 11.30 p.m. in connection with "Chitirai Festival" in Arulmigu Sri Muthumariamman Temple in Punavasal Village, Pattukottai Taluk, Thanjavur District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 27.03.2023.

¶2The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents made objections stating that if the Adal Padal Programme is conducted in the said village, it will create a law and order problem.

¶3In view of the said objection made by the learend Government Advocate (Crl. Side), the respondents police are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 27.03.2023 on its own merits immediatly. So that the petitioner can work out his remedy, if he is aggrieved.

¶4This Writ Peition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
