Judgment
ORDER Heard the learned counsel on either side.
¶2The petitioner worked as Gang Masthur in Aruppukottai Municipality. He reached the age of superannuation on 31.07.2022. His grievance is that his terminal benefits has not been disbursed. That led to filing of this writ petition.
¶3When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the local body submitted that on 28.09.2022 the employer has forwarded the pension proposal to the fifth respondent in Na.Ka.No. 4418/2022/B3. The fifth respondent is directed to process the same and act as per law. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the fifth respondent submitted that while what is due to be paid to the petitioner is around Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only). What it due from the petitioner is more than Rs.5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakhs only). If that be so, the petitioner may be informed appropriately. In any event, the petitioner's monthly pension will have to be sanctioned. I consciously refrain from going into the merits of the matter. I am only directing the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's claim as expeditiously as possible.
¶4This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
