Jayamurugan v. The Superintendent of Police

O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to issue Non-traceable certificate for the petitioner's sale deed document on the basis of the complaints dated 11.04.2023 in accordance with law.

¶2Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

¶3The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has lodged a complaint on 11.04.2023 through registered post before the respondents for misplacing of his original sale deed document bearing No.613 of 2020 dated 11.04.1960. The property is situated at Pasumpon Village, Kamuthi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District. He would further submit that the petitioner has also made paper publication on 28.03.2023 with regard to the missing of original document.

¶4Considering the above, the second respondent police is directed to conduct enquiry ensuring that the said document has not been deposited for any purpose, following the circular issued by the Director General of Police and complete the enquiry within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Depending upon the outcome of the above said enquiry, the petitioner can workout her remedy through appropriate proceedings, if not satisfied.

¶5With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
