ORDER This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondent to investigate FIR No.56 of 2022 pending on his file as expeditiously possible and to file final report within a time stipulated by this Court.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that a case was registered against the petitioner in Crime No.56 of 2022 for the offences punishable under Sections 6(4) of TNSC (RDCS) Order 1982 r/w 7(1)(a)(ii) of EC Act. The grievance of the petitioner is that though the case was registered in the year 2022, so far no progress in the investigation process.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would submit that investigation has been completed and charge sheet has been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Virudhunagar and the same was taken cognizance in C.C.No.331 of 2023. Therefore, the prayer sought for in this petition has become infructuous.

4.In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), this criminal original petition is dismissed as infructuous.
