O R D E R [Order of the Court was made by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.] Mr.P.Thilakkumar, learned Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents.

¶2With the consent of both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.

¶3The prayer in this writ petition reads as follows: "For the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit, It is therefore prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue a WRIT OF MANDAMUS, order or direction in the nature of writ, directing the respondents to grant permission and provide adequate police protection for conducting the Village Cultural Program on

05.05.2023 at about 07.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. as part of temple Poocherithal festival of Arulmighu Shri Pattamarathan Temple at Pon.Pudhuvalavu, Ponnamaravathi, Pudukottai, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 25.04.2023."

¶4There will be a direction to the respondents to consider the application of the petitioner dated 25.04.2023 well in advance and grant permission for conducting the Village Cultural Program on 05.05.2023 between 07:00 p.m. and 09:00 p.m., subject to the other usual conditions.

¶5The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
