O R D E R The Panchayat President, Perumpathur Panchayat, Sankarankovil Panchayat Union, Sankarankovil Taluk, Tenkasi District, is suo motu impleaded, as the fifth respondent in this Writ Petition and Mr.R.Ragavendran, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the fifth respondent.

2.This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of Writ of Mandamus forbearing the respondents from constructing a drainage channel to let-out the drainage water into the channels of Periyakulam tank which is abutting the petitioner's patta land in S.Nos.269/2A and S.No.269/2B situated at Perumpathur Village, Sankarankovil Taluk, Tenkasi District.

4.It is clear from the above that an undertaking has been given by the Panchayat President to set right the present situation within a period of six months. In view of the same, this Court is inclined to grant the time sought for by the fifth respondent.

5.This Writ Petition is disposed of recording the undertaking given by the fifth respondent. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
