Judgment
ORDER The grievance of the petitioner is that he is not allowed to participate in the "Kalari Kumbida Thiruvizha" to be held on 02.06.2023 to 04.06.2023 and
11.06.2023 at Arulmigu Sri Veerathummulammal - Sri Venkadajalapathy Temple at Melapatti Road, Perayur Town.
¶2Though the petitioner has sought for a direction to the official respondents to ensure that the festival will be conducted after changing the office bearers collecting Thalaikattu Vari from the petitioner's vagayara, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he is not pressing that portion of the prayer.
¶3In connection with the request for allowing him to participate in the festival, he had made a representation on 16.05.2023 before the respondents 1 and 2 herein. This Court is of the view that the respondents can be called upon to conduct an enquiry based on the petitioner's representation after giving due opportunity to all the parties. Since the festival is to commence on 02.06.2023, the first respondent shall consider the petitioner's representation dated
16.05.2023 and conclude the same preferably on or before 02.06.2023.
¶4The Writ Petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
