JUDGMENT The appellant filed this appeal to set aside the judgment and decree dated 28.11.2014 passed in C.M.A.No.3 of 1998 on the file of the Principal Sub Court, Dindigul, modifying the proceedings dated 31.12.1997 passed in R.O.C.No.3512/97/A on the file of the Special Tahsildar, Adidhravidar Welfare Department, Unit 1, Dindigul.

¶2When the matter is taken up for hearing today (14.09.2023), the learned Special Government Pleader for the appellant filed a memo stating that the matter has already been settled before the Lok Adalat, which was held at Dindigul District Court on 09.09.2023. The entire amount as per the Lok Adalat settlement has also been deposited into the Court and requested to record the said memo and dispose of the case as closed.

¶3The learned counsel for the sole respondent has no objection to close the Second Appeal and he also made an endorsement to that effect.

¶4In view of the same, the said memo is recorded and this Second Appeal stands closed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is also closed.
