O R D E R This petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking for quashment of FIR in Crime No.15 of 2020, dated 22.11.2020, filed against the petitioners for the offences under Sections 406, 420, 421, 422 and 424 of I.P.C.
¶2When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submits that the respondent Police have completed the investigation and filed the charge sheet in C.C.No.868 of 2023 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Trichy and the said charge sheet was also taken on file against the petitioners for the offences under Sections 406, 420, 421, 422, 424 and 120 (b) of I.P.C.
¶3Once charge sheet has already been filed after investigation and that it was taken on file by the learned Magistrate, at this stage, this application which is filed seeking for quashment of FIR becomes infructuous.
¶4Accordingly, this petition is disposed of, permitting the petitioners to challenge the charge sheet, in case, if they are advised so. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
