Judgment
O R D E R This petition is filed seeking for quashment of F.IR in Crime No. 678 of 2023, dated 18.06.2023.
¶2According to learned counsel for the petitioner, a case has been registered in Crime No.678 of 2023 against the petitioner on 18.06.2023 for the offence under Section 75 of Tamil Nadu City Police Act, 1888, alleging that he has committed public nuisance.
¶3When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the Police have completed the investigation and filed charge sheet before the concerned Court on 18.06.2023 itself. Since the charge sheet has already been filed before the learned Magistrate, this petition seeking for quashment of FIR becomes infructuous. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed as infructuous. However, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the concerned Court, in case, if he intends to challenge the charge sheet. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
