Chelladurai S v. The Superintending Engineer

O R D E R The petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking a direction to the respondents not to erect any high tension electricity line and transformer in his patta land.

¶2The case of the petitioner is that the respondent Electricity Board is attempting to lay a new high tension electricity line and a transformer in his patta land.

¶3The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents, who takes notice for the respondents, has produced the written instruction which has been received from the second respondent and submitted that the respondent Board is not having any proposal to lay a new high tension electricity line in the petitioner's patta land. However, he claims that the existing LT line is upgraded as wire line.

¶4Recording the submission made by the learned Standing counsel appearing for the respondents Board, this Writ Petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
