Judgment

O RDER

This petition is filed seeking direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Palani to dispose of the case in C.C.No.259 of 2011 within a time limit as fixed by this Court.

2.It is submitted by the learned counsel that the petitioners being accused are facing charges under Sections 447 and 427 IPC in C.C.No.259 of 2011 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Palani. Originally, though there were 12 accused in all, the accused Nos.3, 4, 6 and 9 stated to have been died and the trial is being proceeded with against the other accused. It is also submitted that 6 witnesses were examined and 2 exhibits were marked.

3.It is unfortunate that CC.No.259 of 2011, which was registered about 12 years ago, is still pending. As the examination of most of the witnesses stated to have been completed, this Petition is disposed of directing the trial Court to expedite and complete the trial of the case and dispose CC.No.259 of 2011 as expeditiously as possible, but not later than 3 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
