Judgment

O R D E R This writ petition has been filed challenging the proceedings bearing Na.Ka.No.2822/Aa5/2024, dated 18.06.2026, issued by the third respondent, whereby, the seventh respondent was accommodated in the sixth respondent – School by way of transfer, thereby taking away the post of B.T.Assistant (English) from the purview of the transfer counselling, which was scheduled to be held on 10.07.2026.

¶2This Court, while entertaining this writ petition, vide order dated 23.06.2026 granted interim stay of the operation of the impugned proceedings and further directed the respondents to show the said post of B.T.Assistant (English) in the sixth respondent – School as vacant during the transfer counselling and the petitioner was granted liberty to participate in the said transfer counselling.

¶3However, the transfer counselling that was scheduled to take place on 10.07.2026 could not take place in view of the interim stay granted by the Principal Seat of this Court.

¶4Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, Mr.M.Dinesh Hari Sudarsan, learned counsel for the Government of Tamil Nadu appearing for the respondents 1 to 6, submitted that the impugned proceedings dated 18.06.2026 has been cancelled by the fourth respondent vide proceedings bearing Na.Ka.No.492/Aa1/2026, dated 01.07.2026 and hence, the relief sought in this writ petition has become practically infructuous.

¶5However, the respondents are directed to show the post of B.T.Assistant (English) in the sixth respondent – School as vacant in the ensuing transfer counselling.

¶6With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
