O R D E R This writ petition is filed seeking to set aside the orders passed by the second respondent police, dated 08.07.2023 rejecting the request of the petitioner to conduct the Aadal Paadal programme on 27.08.2023 at about 06.30 PM to 11.00 PM at Sri Manthai Amman Temple, Sooranam Village, Ilayangudi Taluk, Dindigul District.

¶2It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that they have been conducting Aadal Paadal programme every year and this year Kumbabishegam is being performed and in respect of the same, Aadal Paadal programme is being organised on 27.08.2023, therefore, sought for suitable directions.

¶3The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) on the other hand submitted that the petitioner has sought for permission for performing the cultural programme on 26.08.2023 which was granted by the police. However, seeking permission in respect of conducting Aadal Paadal on 27.08.2023 has been declined on the ground that the youngsters in drunken state on the backside of the stage will cause hindrance not only to the public, but also to the dancers, who will dance to the tunes. This kind of practice shall not be permitted.

¶4Considering the circumstances, the request of the petitioner for a direction to provide permission for conducting Aadal Paadal programme on

27.08.2023 cannot be passed. According, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
