ORDER (Order of the Court was made by C.V.KARTHIKEYAN.,J)

This writ petition has been filed in the nature of mandamus seeking a direction against the respondents 1 to 6, particularly the sixth respondent, who had been wrongly nomenclatured as Deputy Tahshildar/Regional Manager, the Tamilnadu Civil Supplies Corporation, Tallakulam, Madurai instead of the Deputy Collector/Regional Manager to procure paddy from the village area people only and not from others. Even before issuing the order copy, the Registry may correct the nomenclature of the sixth respondent from Deputy Tahsildar to Deputy Collector.

¶2It is the contention of the petitioner in his affidavit that the direct procurement centers have been established area wise and the tokens are issued to the cultivating farmers. It is contended that tokens are issued to everybody without verifying the adangal or other documents.

¶3A counter affidavit has been filed by the sixth respondent wherein it had been stated that direct procurement centers have been established only to assist the farmers to immediately dispose or sell their products. It had also been stated that adangal records are received at the time when farmer deposits harvested paddy. It had been also stated that if a farmer comes and gives paddy, it cannot be rejected.

¶4We are confident that the direct procurement centers would be run in a proper manner and receive paddy after proper verification of all required details. Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. (C.V.K.,J) & (R.S.V.,J)
