Judgment
O R D E R This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.12.2024 and 08.07.2025 and consequently direct the respondent to disburse the petitioner's husband EPF amount and other death benefits.
¶2Heard the learned counsel for the parties and perused the materials available on record.
¶3The petitioner is the widow of late R. Mohan Babu, who worked as a Gunman in the fifth respondent company. During his employment with the fifth respondent, EPF contributions were remitted and deposited with the second respondent. The petitioner's husband died on
07.11.2015. The grievance of the petitioner is that, after the demise of her husband, she submitted representations dated 17.12.2024 and 08.07.2025 seeking disbursement of the PF amount payable to her deceased husband. However, since no action has been taken so far, the present writ petition has been filed.
¶4The learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondents 1 to 3 submitted that respondents 4 and 5 are the employers of the petitioner's husband and that an endorsement is required to be made in Form 10 and Form 20 and submitted to the second respondent to enable disbursement of the PF amount in favour of the petitioner.
¶5In view of the aforesaid submissions, this Court directs the respondents 4 and 5 to depute their authorised signatory to appear before the second respondent and sign Form 10 and Form 20 within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
¶6This writ petition stands disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
