ORDER The present writ petition has been filed to call for the records in pursuant to the impugned order passed by the 2nd respondent in Ku.No: 946/Se.Po./Me/Peru/Mathu/U Ni A/Ni Me/Ni U.1/Ko.Tha Pa Nee/A.No:503 dated 31.07.2023 and quash the same.

¶2By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admissions itself.

¶3Based on an unanimous video circulated in the whatsapp, the petitioner who is working as a Junior Engineer at TVS Nagar, Madurai (TANGEDCO) was suspended on the allegation that he consumed liquor during office hours, vide impugned order, dated 31.07.2023.

¶4The alleged video was also placed before me for verification. On perusal of the same, only few persons having their lunch is displayed in the said video. However, some background voices are heard in the said video.

¶5Considering the nature of the case, this Court directs the respondents to consider the explanation of the petitioner and pass orders on the same within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

¶6In view of the above, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
