Judgment

O R D E R [Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble CHIEF JUSTICE] We have heard Mr.J.Jawahar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Thilakkumar, learned Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents 1 & 2.

¶2The contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupees two lakhs only) was sanctioned for renovation of the sanctum sanctorum of the third respondent Temple. A contract for the same was also given. However, instead of renovating the sanctum sanctorum of the third respondent Temple, a Temple of Vaidhyalingam Malaiamman is being constructed.

¶3In this regard, the petitioner has already approached the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Department by filing a representation on

01.08.2023.

¶4The respondents will look into the same and shall oversee the funds being used for the purpose for which it is allotted.

¶5The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
