Manikandan. S v. The Superintendent of Police

O R D E R This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents Police to grant permission to conduct the festival in Sri Aathi Periyakkandiamman Koil situated at Kaliamman Kovil Street, Nanthavanapatti, Karur Road, Dindigul, on 15.08.2023.

¶2The petitioner is one of the devotees of the said temple and there was some dispute regarding the conducting of festival which is proposed to be held on 15.08.2023. In the said circumstances, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Manamadurai, has conducted the Peace Committee Meeting and arrived the following settlement:

¶3As per the said Peace Committee Meeting, both the petitioner as well as the rival parties entered into compromise. One of the rival parties, namely, P.Lavakumar has represented through his counsel, namely, Mr.K.Jeyamohan. Hence, this Court suo motu impleads the said P.Lavakumar.

¶4Since the jurisdictional Police has already granted permission vide proceedings dated 13.08.2023 to conduct the festival on 15.08.2023, this Writ Petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
