Paramasamy.V v. The District Revenue Officer

O R D E R This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioners on 04.10.2021, wherein, the petitioners had sought for the change of wrong classification of the subject properties.

¶2When the matter was taken up for hearing, it was brought to the notice of this Court that in the representation made by the petitioners, it was wrongly mentioned as Survey Nos.33/1 instead of Survey Nos.33/15 and 33/16 which has been classified as "Grama Natham". With respect to the other two survey numbers in Survey Nos.75/2 and 75/3, the enquiry is going on before the first respondent.

¶3In view of the above, the petitioners are at liberty to make a fresh representation before the first respondent by giving the correct details of the property as Survey Nos.33/15 and 33/16 and seek for the mutation of the revenue records. Insofar as the other two survey numbers in Survey Nos.75/2 and 75/3 which stands in the name of the Temple, the first respondent can proceed further to conduct the enquiry and pass appropriate orders strictly in accordance with law.

¶4This Writ Petition is disposed of in the above terms. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
