Judgment
O R D E R This Writ Petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.07.2026 and pass appropriate orders on her request to close the loan accounts availed by her deceased husband and deceased son in SB A/c No. 808534901 with the second respondent Bank and furnish the relevant report/details to the petitioner.
¶2Heard the learned counsel for the parties.
¶3By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's husband and son had availed a loan from the second respondent Bank by mortgaging certain immovable property. Subsequently, both the petitioner's husband and son passed away. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 03.07.2026 requesting the second respondent Bank to take appropriate steps for closure of the loan account and to furnish the relevant report/details pertaining to the loan. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing the present Writ Petition.
¶5The learned counsel further submitted that it would suffice if this Court issues a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.07.2026 and pass appropriate orders thereon within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
¶6Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondents, to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 03.07.2026 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
