ORDER Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner wants this Court to direct the Tahsildar, Kalayarkovil Taluk to consider his representation for effecting mutation in the patta in respect of the petition mentioned property as Kalayarkovil Pasumadam. The said property is comprised in Old S.No.181/1, Somanathamangalam Village, Kalayarkovil Taluk. It has been classified as grama nathan in the "A" register. During UDR, Old S.No.181/1 was sub-divided and renumbered as S.No.401/8. The name of one Senthilnathan Chettiar, the father of the fifth respondent was incorporated. S.No.401/8 measures 21 cents. Normally, while issuing natham patta in respect of land classified as grama natham, the extent ranges around 4 to 5 cents. Be that as it may, in writ proceedings, it is not possible for this Court to go into contested issues. Since the name of "Kalayarkovil Pasumadam" was not there originally in the revenue record, it is not possible for Writ Court to give any direction to the jurisdictional Tahsildar. I grant liberty to the writ petitioner or any other interested person to file an appropriate civil suit in this regard. I leave open all the contentions of both the parties.

3.With this liberty, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
