Judgment

O R D E R Heard Mr.T.Thirumurugan, learned Counsel for the Petitioner and Mr.C.Jeganathan, learned Counsel for Government of Tamil Nadu, who takes notice for Respondents1 to 4.

¶2Considering the limited scope of the Writ Petition, notice to the 5th respondent is hereby dispensed with.

¶3This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the Respondents No.1 to 4 from providing any service, pension benefit and compassionate appointment of the petitioners deceased father namely Suresh, who died on 02.03.2026 in favour of the Respondent No.5 and consequently the Respondent Nos. 1 to 4 to provide all service and pension benefits to the petitioners and compassionate appointment to the 1st petitioner by considering petitioners representation dated 27.06.2026.

¶4The petitioners are the daughters of one Suresh, who worked as a Special Sub-Inspector of Police and he passed away on

02.03.2026. The petitioners suspect that the 5th respondent, their mother, in connivance with one Karthikeyan, is responsible for the sudden demise of their father. Therefore, the petitioners claim to have lodged a police complaint, but no crime has been registered as on date. The petitioners also state that they have made a claim requesting the respondents to pay the terminal benefits of their father to them and not to disburse the same to the 5th respondent, on the ground that the 5th respondent is responsible for the sudden demise of their father. Since the representation dated 27.06.2026 has not been considered by the respondents, the petitioners have approached this Court by filing the present Writ Petition.

¶5Mr.C.Jeganathan, learned Counsel for the Government of Tamil Nadu appearing for respondents 1 to 4, submits that the petitioners may be entitled to their share of the terminal benefits consequent upon the demise of their father, and that their representation would be considered by the respondents in accordance with law.

¶6In the light of the above, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the 2nd respondent to consider the representation submitted by the petitioners dated 27.06.2026 and pass appropriate orders thereon before taking a decision on the disbursement of the terminal benefits of the deceased Suresh.

¶7In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition stands closed.
