This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure seeking quashment of the FIR in Crime No.691 of 2023 on the file of respondent No.1 police dated 20.06.2023.

2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submits that the police have already completed the investigation and filed the charge sheet before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Madurai and the same was taken on file as E.Filing CC.No.7993 of 2023 dated 30.08.2023 for the offences punishable under Sections 463, 464, 465, 466, 468 and 469 IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002.

3.Since the very purpose of filing this petition has already been defeated, this Petition becomes infructuous, thereby dismissed as infructuous. However, the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the charge sheet, in case if he is so advised. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
