Judgment

O R D E R The petitioner has approached the second respondent seeking for domestic electricity service connection for her house. With a grievance that the same has not been effected based on the objections of the third respondent, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

2.Mr.S.Deenadayalan, learned Standing Counsel, who takes notice for the respondents 1 & 2 submits that the third respondent has raised certain objections for providing electricity service connection to this petitioner, that if any poles are erected, it would affect his ingress and egress to his property. According to the learned Standing Counsel, they are intending to take poles through a common pathway. However, the third respondent without any valid reasons has raised objections preventing the authorities from effecting the service connection.

3.Considering the rival submissions made, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to ascertain from the revenue officials as to whether the place to be used for erecting poles is a pathway or not, provide an opportunity to the third respondent and shall proceed further for effecting electricity service connection to the petitioner by taking police protection, if necessary. No costs.
