ORDER These Writ Petitions are filed seeking to issue Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents 1 to 4 not to permit any unlawful dharna, agitation, road-blockade, siege or public assembly, by whatever name called, sought to be conducted by any individual, organisation or association, except in accordance with law, and thereby ensure maintenance of law and order and enable the petitioner to carry on his medical profession peacefully and to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner, his family members, the doctors, hospital staff, patients and the premises of Karaikudi Medical Centre (KMC) Hospital, Karaikudi and Thambiran Maternity and Children Hospital, Shivani Fertility Centre, Karaikudi, based on the petitioners' representation dated

03.07.2026 within a stipulated time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

¶2The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners in both the petitions are practicing doctors for the past more than 26 years. While so, certain miscreants are continuously organizing unlawful agitation, dharnas, road-blockade, siege or public assembly before the said hospitals causing hindrance to the peaceful conduct of the petitioners' medical service and hence both the petitioners have made representations in this regard. Since no action has been taken, these Writ Petitions are filed.

¶3The learned Government Advocate submitted that the complaints are received and the matter is pending.

¶4Heard both sides and carefully perused the materials available on record.

¶5In view of the submission made by either sides, the respondent police is directed to consider the petitioners' representations and take necessary steps in accordance with law, ensuring the peaceful conduct of the said hospitals. It is made clear that the petitioners' medical service shall not be hindered by any miscreants.

¶6With the above direction, these Writ Petitions are disposed of.
