This petition is filed seeking quashment of FIR in Crime No.490 of 2023, dated 07.07.2023, pending on the file of the respondent Police registered against the petitioner / sole accused for the offence under Section 380 IPC.

2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondent Police submitted that the respondent Police have completed the investigation and filed charge sheet and the same is taken on file in C.C.No.1737 of 2023 by the learned Judicial Magistrate No.VI, Madurai.

3.Considering the above submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondent Police, since the investigation has already been completed and the charge sheet has also been filed, this petition, seeking quashment of FIR in Crime No.490 of 2023, has become infructuous. Therefore, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to challenge the charge sheet in the manner known to law, if he is so advised.
