ORDER This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarifled Mandamus to quash the statutory inquiry notice / summon issued by the fourth respondent, dated 14.07.2026 based on the complaint given by the petitioner on

14.07.2026 and consequently, to direct the respondents 1 and 3 to take appropriate action against the fourth respondent. Page3 of 5

¶2The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was admitted to the sixth respondent / Velammal Hospital, where the fifth respondent, a Medical Officer, allegedly rendered improper medical treatment. Aggrieved by the alleged medical negligence, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the Chief Minister's Special Cell on 14.07.2026. Pursuant thereto, the fourth respondent issued the impugned summons dated 14.07.2026 directing the petitioner to appear for an enquiry on 17.07.2026 at 11.30 a.m. However, the summons was received by the petitioner only on 17.07.2026, making it impossible for the petitioner to attend the enquiry on the scheduled date. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

¶3The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 1, 3 and 4 submitted that this Court may fix a fresh date for the petitioner's appearance before the fourth respondent and assured that, on such date, the fourth respondent would conduct the enquiry and proceed further in accordance with law.

¶4In view of the above submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the petitioner to appear before the fourth respondent on 31.07.2026 at

11.30 a.m. Upon such appearance, the fourth respondent shall conduct the Page4 of 5 enquiry and thereafter, proceed with the matter in accordance with law. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. 24-07-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order smn2 To
